Kate Featherstone Holder grew up in Ohio, where her mother owned a home décor shop. Kate and her mother would watch HGTV together for inspiration; this is where the love for interior design seed was planted in young Kate. Kate moved to Georgia from Ohio to pursue professional advancement. Once in Georgia, Kate began buying and then refurbishing furniture with the goal to resell. To the surprise of nobody, Kate was extremely successful at this venture. This little online business outgrew the basement that Kate and her husband had available to them. Kate decided that it was time to take her love for staging and design to the next level and got to work on opening a physical store.

Her dream of creating a space that was inviting to everyone, would include a “little something for everyone”, as Kate puts it. “My vision of a lifestyle shop is to serve all people in a ‘good vibe’ atmosphere that is cozy and inviting. And my goal is to have something for everyone−whether it be a gift for a friend, a husband’s birthday, a grandchild, wedding present, or even your best dog friend,” Kate explains.

Kate worked for months to get everything just right, and now Feather & Stone (a play on her maiden name) is officially open to the public. As Kate says, “Come check out Feather & Stone, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what you find inside.” Feather & Stone features local products and goods and with new products coming each week, there truly is something special and unique for everyone.

Welcome to Bear Paw Cabin in Big Canoe. Located 5 minutes from the clubhouse and lakes, this two level 3,000 sqft property is great for larger groups. Bear Paw Cabin has a breathtaking view off the top back deck of Cox Mountain. 15 minutes from IGA Grocery Store.

We chose to make this house a rental because of the awesome features it has like a large kitchen, six bathrooms, two living areas and lots of parking. Great for multi family and group travel. Perfect for a great trip to Big Canoe, GA!
