The Swim Club at Big Canoe is of of the biggest reasons our guests at Bear Paw Cabin come back year after year. Every year, when the waters begin to warm up and the summer sun comes out, guests and vacation renters flock to Big Canoe’s pools, sandy beaches, and pristine lakes.

The Swim Club, Big Canoe’s wonderful seasonal outdoor amenity, is on Lake Disharoon next to the Fitness Center. A zero-entry saltwater pool reaches a depth of 8 feet. Those who want to swim in Lake Disharoon can step onto the sand of the 300-yard beachfront (yes we said beach) and take a dip.

There is a large inflatable waterpark that offers bouncy fun, and include slides and climbing structures for kids only with lifeguards nearby. Stand-up paddle boards, pedal boats, kayaks, and canoes are also available and are included in the daily swim club fee.

The 200-foot rock slide is a blast and a bit thrilling some might say. There are two parts to the rock slide. I find the second part which is smaller, must faster that the larger part.

The Swim Club Snack Bar provides ice cream, hot dogs and sandwiches, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. There is plenty of seating on the large patio that overlooks the zero entry pool and lake, and there is also a picnic and grilling area, bathrooms with changing areas, and certified lifeguards for safety.

Are you coming to Big Canoe when the Swim Club is not open? No worries, there is an indoor pool and hot tub in the fitness center.
